I just love getting pics like these...

I'm having exactly the same problem with one of my two. Over a busy mineral station, I had 121 pics in almost a month. Completely skips several days in a row when I know there had to be deer there. The other one seems to be working somewhat normally. Live and learn I guess...just glad I have...

There are few things in hunting I enjoy more than helping a young person get their first deer. Our 2 daughters have both nannied for a great family in Waterloo while going to school at UNI. They've treated our kids like their own, and in the process, our two families have become very good...

I can tell you it didn't do my clover plot any favors. After 3 months it was just starting to make a partial recovery, and then round 2 hit it last week. Lots of mud and sand is what's left behind... NWBuck

I've been surprised to not see any youth harvest reports so far, but the heat may have deterred some from going out...I wouldn't blame them. I'm taking out a friend's son this weekend, and looks like highs in the upper 60's to low 70's up here. Much better!! NWBuck

Another update. From a pretty normal young 8 point last year to a crazy freak this year. Looks like all his growth has gone into the right side, and yeah, nothing but little nubs on the left. Weird stuff...
