    Messed up

It's always difficult to know but lack of blood doesn't mean a lot. Their clotting ability is insane. He's a hurting unit otherwise he wouldn't have kept bedding down. I know they will often circle back so make sure you have also looked closer to your stand. Good luck!

    Bowmars

The best thing everyone can do is to never watch any of these clowns shows or even mention their names. I didn't even know who OP was talking about until I read the thread.

    Bowmars

They should have lost hunting rights for life. Those with public influence should be held to even higher standards imo. Kind've like a cop who breaks the law. He should get the extra big hammer thrown at him.

    Preparing for a timber harvest

I milled this hickory with my chainsaw and made a river coffee table. Pictures don't do it justice for how nice it turned out. It really sucked milling though.

    2022 Rut vs Previous years??

Multiple spotted fawns in Late November this year in separate locations. I burn firewood. Springs are way colder than they used to be overall. I now have to run the stove some 8 months a year. I think that is affecting the birth times. It used to be May was hot and boats were out in force...

My buddy and his family have trapped their limit each year for several years now near Van Buren. I believe they are allowed 2 each.

    Keeping open water in winter

Here is my set up. It will do better next year when the pond is hopefully fuller. I just got the house this fall and have been remodeling it but stepped out for half a day to run a trench over 400' from my machine shed and ran field tile from the gutters to drain into the pond. It was really...

    Keeping open water in winter

I just bought a small house with a small pond. I ran pex from my machine shed to the pond. Hooked up to a septic pump. It finally froze over during that last -40 wind chill crap, but the ice was very thin and took 2 days of that arctic cold to do it. I could push it with a stick to break...

    Hanging Deer in cold weather!

Hang it and don't skin it until the next morning. It's a great way to test your grip strength. Don't ask me how I know and I can promise you won't ever do it again.

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

Do you guys know if Monroe, Wapello, Davis, Or Appanoose rent grain drills as part of the pheasants forever chapter or county board? The county I used to live in had that option at one time. If not, where would you recommend looking for a good deal on one that can be pulled by 50 hp tractor?

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

That's what I was thinking. Especially with the drought this area has had. I expect it to be pretty thin. Would year old grain be ok to get by with? I know it's not ideal.

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

I won't be able to get in there early. Thinking I can spray on that Saturday. Could I still spread Rye and clover before spraying or do I need to let it die? If I sprayed Saturday, I could go down and plant on Tuesday, Wed, or Friday. It looks like you are quite a distance from me. Edit...

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

2 questions 1. Just bought 5 acres adjacent to a big timber stand. It is currently hay. We close on Sept 16th in Southern Iowa. Suggestions on what to plant and where I can get the seed with this late of notice. Just decided to buy it 2 weeks ago. 2. What are the options if I don't own a...
