All great points. Maybe an idea to promote, Eliminate the antlerless quotas and replace them with strictly depredation tags. Better educate the landowners that would qualify. There are still a lot of farmers that have no idea how they work. The quota system just creates areas with very few while...
Prior to the implementation of “antlerless quotas”, that’s the way it was. You either hunted shotgun or late muzzy with an anysex. You had to choose.
I think the only places you would be able to hunt both shotgun and late muzzy are counties with antlerless quotas. I know that you can’t buy an...
I’d think you’d have some legal avenues you could follow. It doesn’t seem any different than dropping your truck off for repairs and someone steals the wheels. The business is responsible as long as it’s on their property.
Like others mentioned, did they have it posted that you shouldn’t leave...
Nope. Only someone “registered and maintained since prior to July 2022”. That little clause would give a very select few all of the benefit ($$$). If they were to pass something like this, imagine the amount of “outfitters” we’d have. I’d register to get a guaranteed tag worth who knows how...
That could get tricky also. Your LO tag is acquired with a specific parcel #. I don’t know if it’s actually written the same for LO’s but the proposal as written appears to say that the NR can only hunt the property that the license was assigned to.
Regardless, we don’t need it.

It’s a vacation. Having a beach house, timeshare, mtn cabin, etc… is no different. You follow that localities rules while your visiting, like them or not. If not, most would buy somewhere more accommodating to what they want. We choose to live here even though we don’t necessarily have to.

It’s my SiL that has them. PM me for his #
Anyone else that’s interested, just PM me, says he has plenty.
His description:
Alfalfa square bales for sale it’s all 4th cutting. Did not get rained on. Very good quality. Perfect for horses asking $8 a bale. Bales are wire tied
If you know the name of an outfitter, enter the name. If he’s registered, you’ll see the details. I don’t know of any way to search for “outfitters” as a specific business.
They aren’t required to register but some have. I’m guessing that’s why the “registered prior to” clause is in there. It would be a gold mine for the select few that are registered. They wouldn’t want to pass it and have 500 people sign up as outfitters so their friends, family, or whoever were...
You guys are are forgetting that the tag must remain with the animal until it’s processed. You can’t cape it out for the taxi and still have a tag on it at the locker.
OP, how long did you wait after notification that it was done to go get it?
It’s obvious that it’s directed at a select few. Only outfitters that were registered before July of 22 are eligible. I have no idea how many that actually is but I’d guess not many. I’d bet that it is the same few that get the governors tags.
If someone knows where to look and see how many...
You realize this post is almost 20 yrs old I hope. I’d think you could get a duplicate but things have changed in 18 yrs. Ex: they implemented the reporting system mentioned above.
It doesn’t specify “cell” cameras, just “remotely viewing”. How is remotely viewing defined? If I pull a card and send you a snapshot from that morning, can you hunt later that day? Sounds like a mess. I’m all for eliminating them but how could it be enforced.
Buckshot is/was legal in a few states for deer. No idea if they can use a .410 tho. My guess is that’s what it is for. 410 instead of a bow might be fun.
You get 9 pellets in 12ga, maybe 4 in 410?
