Food plots are different than feeders. If you are planting to insure they have adequate food Or cover through the winter, that’s fine. Just don’t hunt over them. Hunting them is no different than putting feeders out.

If it's offered as already processed, why not get it that way? If someone has the capacity to produce it then great, very generous of them. Personally, you’ll get a field dressed dear from me. If I had the facilities and time then maybe ground.

Why not look into a CRP program. And/or the IHAP program. Even if the CRP is a little less than what you’re asking for rent, the benefits in hunting quality would make up for it. JMO
