.308 AR ?'s - What to get? Beginner!

Good to hear. Like I said, I've never used any of their parts besides a replacement safety selector. Maybe I'll try them in the future. If I can find any parts. Has anyone looked for AR stuff anywhere? Apparently I got on the bandwagon too late. Every shop is sold out of everything AR related...

    Any Hydraulic experts out there?

Shouldn't have air in the system unless it got real low on oil. Could also be a loose line I guess, but I think you'd notice that rather quickly. Your valve is probably fine. Is there a filter on the system? I'd be cleaning it out first if there is.

.308 AR ?'s - What to get? Beginner!

Just what I would do. I have never owned a DPMS but I've read plenty about how they are cheaply made. Most of these reviews are for their AR-15 products. I know that the .308 realm is very different and i've heard their 308 stuff is good...DPMS kind of pioneered it, but I feel like a company...

.308 AR ?'s - What to get? Beginner!

I personally would steer away from DPMS. Go with the Rock River or Armalite. Both companies make a good rifle. I will probably be building a .308 AR here soon. It's easy to build them.

    Looking for a new scope....

I have had really good luck with Burris scopes. Most have a "forever warranty". I'd suggest a 4.5-14x42. Great scope with a great warranty. I have Burris on my shotgun, 44 mag rifle, and my AR. My brother has two of them, and my dad has one. Never had any issues.

Concealed carry to be legal in Illinois?!

http://my.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-73663214/ I was reading CBS news last night about the shooting in Conn., which is/ was horrifying. A 'related article' came up saying that a federal court ruled that Illinois concealed carry ban is unconstitutional and Illinois law makers...

    PSE Brute X

I have last years PSE Brute HP. It's a nice bow! It's not outstanding in any category, but it's above average in every category. I plan to use mine for a few more years, until I can afford a nice Hoyt, bowtech, or Mathews. Honestly, bow marketing is probably getting to me. I have no complaints...

Certain guns do take certain loads better. No doubt about it. Some will even argue that even two of the same make and model guns may not shoot the same round the same way. Your best bet is to try a few out. I've used powerbelts, but I've heard really good things about Barnes expanders. BUT I...

    Coyote hunting?

I just got my feet wet last year. Got a foxpro and made about 30 sets. I only called in 4 yotes. Never even fired a round. BUT I'm ready to put some down this year.

    Vortex Scopes

Adjustable objective is kind of nice but definitely not necessary for hunting. I personally would prefer better glass. AO would be a lot more important if you were to be shooting in competitions but there's plenty of people that can shoot sub MOA without any AO. And that's alot more than enough...

    I'm New!!!

I hope you enjoy Iowa. I moved here in may from Indiana and I can't say I have any complaints. I somehow got three bucks this year, two in iowa and one in Indiana. The Indiana buck had the biggest rack. ;) Iowa is a great state for whitetails but the hype is a little misleading. No different...

    AR-15 purchase question.

Yep. Ill agree. Barrels and triggers. I had a gun with a 24" stainless bull barrel I tried for yote hunting. I hated lugging that thing around. Then I built my next gun with a stainless medium contour, 18" barrel. It's a lot better to carry around. Still good out to 400+ yards. I do need to get...

    Bedliner: Line-X ?

I made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Going with line-x premium so hopefully it won't fade. This stuff is pricey though. 480 for standard, + 80 for over the bed rails, +100 for premium. Throw in taxes and we're talking 700 dollars!! I really hope this is worth it cause my fiancé is...

    AR-15 purchase question.

Rock River is a solid brand. I have owned two different ARs. A colt and one I built myself. Both are fine guns. RR would be great for most anyone. What do you plan to use this gun for? What is your budget? There are tons of different brands that all offer quality rifles. I'd encourage you to do...

    Bedliner: Line-X ?

Good to know guys. Ill be checking those dealerships. I was quoted 480 and another 80 for covering the bed rails. I'm pretty sure if that was for standard spray. I was thinking premium ( next step up from standard) because research tells me it doesn't fade but standard spray will.

    Bedliner: Line-X ?

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a bedliner put on my truck soon. I was thinking line x but I can't find any reviews for the dealer in Des Moines. I think the dealer is called American toppers or something like that. Has anyone used them? I also called another dealer called t&t line X out of...
