    Smokeless muzzleloader

Anybody have any thoughts on the likelihood that Iowa will restrict muzzleloaders to black powder and not permit smokeless?

    Cleaning out a lighted nock?

Appears I got blood in the switch of a lighted nock. I rinsed it with water but next shot it didn't go off. I have soaked it with hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. The switch is functional now but still not rid of all the blood. Anybody have a better idea on what to use to get it cleaned out better?

Do people count deer on the way to and from the stand or just what you see while sitting? Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk

    Dang Coons

Looks like some oriental bittersweet that you may want to keep under control as well.

    Safety harness?

I am a fan of the muddy harness. Also skip on the pile of crap harnesses I totally agree but do find a use for all the tree strap pieces. I use wire or a modified tree step and use them in stand as anything from bow hangers, pack hangers, or whatever else. I actually like the harness that came...

How do you organize/file your trail cam pics?

With Google photos I just view the card pics on a PC and pics I want to save (bucks or shooters or interesting pics) I put them into an album on Google Photos. Then I have access to them all on my phone when going out and about. 200 gig of pics would be a problem bit so far I have quite a few...

    Quivers?

Looking for thoughts on a lightweight 4-5 arrow quiver that has dual grippers that easily attached and detaches from the bow as I like taking it off when in the blind. Shoot a HHA slider style sight so I don't want one that sticks out too far from the bow. Looking at low cost options. Kind of...

I don't like it attached. I prefer to have it in my pack pocket or clipped onto the string. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Release recommendation

I switched 3 or 4 years ago and love it. For turkey hunting it's great. For deer you have to be able to keep hands warm enough and shoot good with it. I started with the Stan 4 finger shootout but that has too much finger curl for gloves of any kind so I got a Carter target 4. I like the Stan...

    Elevated blind???

Cool might have to try it. Wasn't sure how the windows would play out. Have to be careful not to be seen. Also probably have to keep a few open to hear any turkey talk. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Elevated blind???

With the popularity of elevated blinds for deer hunting I was curious if anybody turkeys hunts out of them? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Honeysuckle

Very interesting. I have a small backyard habitat that was loaded with BHS. In the wet spring I would hand pull the small stuff by the roots. Larger stuff I cut and squirted. Property is now too open. I was hoping natives would take off but it seems very slow to happen. I suspect opening the...

    Brassicas

Well the PTTs didn't seem to really take off when broadcasted into standing clover. It appeared early on that we had decent germination and were going to get a stand going. However it appeared they started to grow but then fizzled out. The green tops never got very big at all and only a few...
