So I have an acreage between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. I have about 2 acres on top on a ridge. Some of it is house yard. I have some grass with a little bit of clover in the yard. The yard is thin. I am planning on overseeding Dutch White Clover yet this fall (instead of grass seed) in...
OK thanks. I guess I have never found the berries just the thorns... We have a lot of it. Will be killing honeysuckle and the barberry. That is keeping me plenty busy. Especially once the garlic mustard starts coming up again too.

Working on some timber cleanup. Forester walked the property with us. Indicated it isn't invasive and to leave it. Wondering what thoughts are of this in the timber? Good for anything? Critter's like it for anything? Keep it or cut it??? Thanks

Looking for opinions on a decent (not super expensive) scope for a 450 bushmaster. Probably shoot paper at longer ranges than actual deer. Have 3-9x40 on muzzleloader. Was thinking about bumping up to a 4-12 for this gun. Was thinking the Vortex Diamondback would be a good scope for the...

So on that topic bush honey suckle... If an area isn't overgrown with it deer seem to really eat it up. When it is thick they bed in it. I know it is invasive and to get rid of it but it seems the deer really like it... Just trying to understand.

I have the Cabela's wooltimate full zip and the Berber pullover and bibs. Love the bibs. Love the wooltimate jacket. All are heavy. Like the jacket better than the pullover.
Guys watch Menard's. They run pretty good sales on different brands of lifelines. I think I have picked up 3 different brands there. All seem to be great quality. Sale price is very well worth it. Buy one for every stand. Won't be disappointed. I think it is the muddy line that has 2 attachment...
Final grade was just done on our property. Used a power rake and it is bare dirt. Is it too late to seed white clover? Be better to frost seed at this point? Thoughts?
Do you have taller deeper rooted grasses right on your leach field? Wasn't sure if I should be worried about Big Bluestem or taller Switchgrass being too deeply rooted where they might get into the seepage holes and plug it up?
So I know trees are not a good idea to plant over a septic leach field. What is actually OK to plant over a leach field? I was contemplating clovers or some mix of prairie grasses flowers. Then I was thinking any of the deeper rooted prairie grasses (little bluestem or taller) would probably...
