Not quite sure what went wrong with the pics b/c I've posted the deer ones before with no problem and I searched for any advice but was unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated.
Well after a few tough days everything worked out on wednesday morning. Wasn't having much luck monday and tuesday b/c the hens were more attractive than I was. I was set within 100yards of a few toms and too many hens. Like they usually do they flew the opposite direction leaving me to watch...
I have to agree with not letting the birds see the decoys from the roost. In the early years I would always sneak in real close and put the decoys up so the birds would see them before they decided where they were going to fly down. Just about the time I thought the hunt was over they would fly...
Not trying to hi-jack the thread but I also had a question regarding these heads? When I'm hunting deer I usually slide the rubber o-ring as far back as possible while still allowing it to hold the blades in place. Does anyone else do this to maximize penetration? My bow is set in the low 60's...
Thanks for the replies I just needed to make a post. In her defense I do have to say she wasn't mad but I was surprised at the comment, plus she's just as excited and impatient as I am for my 2006 buck to come back from the taxi. Everybody have a good week.
Dear Abby,
My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and all i've heard the last few days is how much she wants her windows tinted on her car. So, me being the nice boyfriend i spent my breaks at work on the phone today trying to set up an appointment to secretly get her windows tinted. Well what...
Just thought you guys might be interested in seeing the most popular animal at the San Diego Zoo. Nobody get jealous but it was actually touching the ground at one point.
Since it has been slow here lately I thought I'd post a pic of the new years day doe I shot. I pulled myself away from the football games long enough to have a great evening sit. Saw a bunch of deer and missed a few opportunities due to bad timing and too much brush. Then I had this doe along...
Butter and clay is correct! For those that didn't see the show the woman also needed a pair of scissors to trim her arm pits and her legs had more hair on them than most guys. I also thought it was interesting how they mentioned california one or two times when talking about the family from...
If your going to be freezing the bird for awhile you will want to tuck the head back under the wing to prevent freezer burn, i also agree with the freeze dried head, a little more expensive but well worth it
I have to agree with a comment bowmaker made about never talking to someone who thought a CO was pleasant when giving him a ticket. I have been checked three times and each time i ended up shooting the !@#$ with them about everything from ducks to deer. I think they are just as interested in...
I was wondering what to do now that i have a pma membership? I'm pretty sure it went through b/c it showed a printable receipt. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
Shot the first buck from the same tree i shot the second buck from last year. He couldn't resist a little rattling and came in to 15 yards. Wasp jakhammer cut the heart then both lungs on its way to the rest of the goodies. Watched him lay down peacefully within 60 yards.
Great hunt and memories...
i apologize if this type of post has been here before but i haven't seen it before. i was having a debate with a friend of mine about a certain broadhead. when november rolls around i won't shoot anything but a wasp jakhammer expandable. i'll try new ones but i keep coming back to them. my...
