Got my cereal mix planted yesterday in SW WI...just ahead of the rain they were forecasting all day to hit around 8pm. Busted my butt to finish and then looked at the weather on my phone...0% chance of rain for the rest of the night! Dang. More chances of rain throughout the week. Season opens...

Not going to put any urea on it this year either. Grew too fast for the plot size and deer herd last year, had to mow it once. It is following well fertilized brassicas last year and oats and annual clovers this year that did well...
You could always keep it killed off and broadcast winter rye with radishes. Maybe even spread the radishes (not too thick) like mid Aug then spread winter rye around Labor Day Both of those could easily be broadcast on top. Just a thought.
I currently have a smaller field enrolled in the Dbltree mix. The brassicas last year are now planted into oats and annual clovers and the cereal section in fast growing rye with red clovers underneath.
Well just this week I decided it is too much of a pain to get to this field to continue...
I've got more white clover seed on hand than the recommended seeding rate of 6# per acre. Will it hurt anything to put it down at a higher rate? How much is too much? Thanks.

I use Leupold rx-1000i rangefinder and really like it. Like how it gives readings in red so you can see them in dark conditions. I used to have a bushnell that had black readings and it was very hard to see the numbers.
For release I use the Tru-Fire hardcore. It took a little getting used to...
