    Rhino blinds are a sham.

I bought two of them last year. The center strap failed on both of them and when they go, the blind won't stay up. Thankfully it was an easy fix in both cases. Everything else seems pretty solid.

S.E. Iowa Land prices on the rise!

My buddy bought a nice farm for $1900/acre. I have heard of two other great farms going for $1900/acre in SE Iowa. Acres varied from 150-250acres.

    Strutter decoys

Did you have movement set up on the strutter?? That has been key for me. The redhead remote strut stake is the best. Several years ago on the last day of season I had my strutter out on a zink lifeline which was rope controlled. The problem was my rope wrapped around a corn stalk and I couldn't...

    Your Go too call.

$20 HS Strut Black Widow Glass pot call. I have many calls much more expensive than this one but this one is my go to call. Just flat out works every time.

    Decoy Upgrade

The breeding hen sits too low in my opinion. Hard to see in later seasons. If I could only pick two it would be the DSD Jake and leading hen or upright hen. Both of those can double up as a breeder by sitting on ground. The DSD Jake is the must have. You can use other hen decoys with it, the...

    Looking for pretty boy decoy

If you get one. Paint the head red vs white. I had much better luck with the red head vs white head. A few other guys saw the same results. The pretty boy was the game changer decoy back in the day!!

    Sabots

The Remington accutips are amazing out of my savage 220. My dad's 11-87 12 guage likes Remington copper solids and lightfields. I suspect the accutips would do great as well. I tried federal sabots that were like barnes out of my 220 but shot terrible.

    Decoy Upgrade

Ahh I see. For the older style I just put a rod in the insert of the motor on top the decoy and cut it to length for the jake. I then wrapped tape around the rod so that it fit snug into the decoy. Works great.

    Decoy Upgrade

Read Bowtech 84s post right after yours. That is how I would do it with the new style ones. I have the old style stake and I simply cut the rod to length for the DSD jake and wrapped duct tape around it to build up the stake so it fits snug in the body. the older style remote stake works awesome...

    Decoy Upgrade

LOL yeah the drawing was bad. The program I use is tough because I have to use a finger mouse and can't draw anything well. Oh well, it works. :D Good luck!

    Decoy Upgrade

You will not be disappointed. Now you just got to bite the bullet on one of these and you will be set. Once you get that jake moving just about every bird will come in. http://www.basspro.com/RedHead-Remote-Strut-Stake-Gen2/product/1511091243/

    Painting rattling antlers?

My set has been painted since 05. I painted them a brownish green. I also cut off the brows. Each side is about 70 inches. Doesn't sound any different to me and honestly don't really notice paint chipping off. I don't use them a whole ton though.
