I have a Leupold VX-II on mine but if I were to do it again, I would buy the Nikon Inline XR scope. When you look at the ballistics the dots are absolutely dead nuts on at 100, 150, 200 and 250. Check it out on the Nikon Spot on ballistics program.

One thing I noticed is if the arrow flys by you from side to side the vane noise will be loud. If you stand directly behind the target and the arrow is approaching you the noise is gone. Granted I can't hear like a deer but my that was my observations.

A bobber and stink worm with stink bait will catch em all night long. Could fish off bottom as well. Regular old worms would work but stink bait will stack them up.
