    Regulating outfitters and land leases

Lots of good comments here about a situation that's tough to get a handle on. As I see it, the problem is how to manage the deer herd when you're losing control (as well as resident access), through leases and land purchases, of the areas that need the management the most. I don't fault...

    Coyote

Ironwood, It's not near a road. It's set up on a gate post between two fields about a quartermile from the nearest road. The fences really create a funnel and he's gotten a ton of photos of deer, turkeys, coyotes, coons and even a ditch tiger. There are bobcats on his place but he's yet to get...

    2006 Iowa Spring Turkey Regs.

    Field Dressing Gloves

If it's really cold out (like it was first shotgun), I wear a pair of thin polypro liner gloves under a pair of the purple nitrile gloves. The nitrile is tough and the liner gloves keep your hands warm enough that you can keep a good grip on the deer and your knife.

    Elevated blind plans

Danno, Here's a link that might give you some ideas. I think the steel brackets are overkill, but it would simplify things. Texas Deer Blind With some foam insulation under the floor and around the lower half, one of the those little Coleman Cat heaters would probably keep him toasty warm...

    Ryans Dream Buck

From the side he looks 170, but when he turns head-on --- WOW! I'm guessing 190-range.
