    Any cuddeback experts on here?

It's a different lens. I think it's more of a standard lens like other cams, rather than the cuddeback branded "centered" one. It's wild how much it improved performance. Can't emphasize enough. When hung correctly, I'm confident they don't miss anything, when pre-lens swap they'd miss...

    Native Warm Season Grass

March '23 I planted a 25ac of CP2 Native grasses (indian, big blue, switch, etc.). I broadcasted the seed with carrier into previous fall bean stubble and coverage was great. The field is a rectangle, with a flat top, hillside, and flat bottom. The field is mostly hard clay, so I banked on...

    Any cuddeback experts on here?

Change the lens too! Swapping the stock for 9004 Fresnel Lens makes a world of difference. I was hard headed about it for years then swapped this past spring. Crazy the improvement.

    IOWA DNR STATE Forest Nursery

I'm trying a small order from MO nursery this year. Was shocked at the price. If they're the same quality as IA that'd be great

    New corn plots

wondering if there wouldn't be just tons of volunteer the following spring? If so I'm guessing it's easy to kill

    IOWA DNR STATE Forest Nursery

The delivery company they use lost mine for a week one year, and they replaced my entire order at no extra cost so ensure fresh trees. Great service if you ask me

    New corn plots

Here is a pic of the mixed grain and taller non grain variety I experimented with. Kinda cool. Also a nice buck using the edge it provides. It's like a magnet for travel. Going to get real creative with it next year I think. Would a G series drill plant it?

    IOWA DNR STATE Forest Nursery

I have ordered a variety of trees for the last 3 years and they are all fantastic quality

    New corn plots

Great stuff! Planted for the first time this year around some larger field edges. Red/white mix. I just disked, broadcast, and tickled with disk to cover and had all great results. Did long strips along the edges of some fields and really like how the critters use it. Even mixed some taller...

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

Cool! With it being narrower than the wheelbase, will you just get a line of compaction over your previous pass? Could see that maybe being an issue

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

Does anyone have the smallest, G3 type size?

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

Are the Genesis drills and the PH ones virtually the same? Is one better for one reason or another? What about landpride or great plains ? I have an L3901 Kubota (39hp) and looking into 3pt drills. Any thoughts? Want one that you can run everything from switchgrass to beans through

Thoughts on deer prospects this year?

That's the whole problem. Over the last 10 years there has been wave after wave of EHD, on top of technology & pressure increases, yet harvest has stayed the same. Recipe for disaster

    Acorns to Oaks!

Are you going to tube them all? I have 100-ish from this spring's mass planting but can't stand to intrude planting them right now. Think just planting them in a bundle in the ground would get them through winter for spring planting?

Thoughts on deer prospects this year?

Bingo - all play a role but the days afield is HUGE imo. None of this is new- but in my few county area of IL the Xgun has exponentially increased the days afield. Virtually all were gun-only hunters pre xgun, now hunt ALL Oct, Nov, Dec BUT with their same orange army standards. Most wack 2...

    2024-25 Team Contest Score Thread(Teams):

Nor am I, but maybe its being an 8 that limits the total? I have been low in the past but probably within the ballpark. If it truly comes down to a nail biter for Team 5 we'll dust the tape back off! haha
