I did buy a sand spreader that goes in the back of a truck with intentions of trying to spread ag lime with it. That was two years ago. It hasn't moved from barn. Never enough time.
There is no long term PH fix that is practical for nearly all foodplotters.
I just have pell lime mixed with my yearly fertilizer application. 200-400 lbs per acre.
In my case it involved massive clearing to replant more desirable tree species. I cannot undo the clearing part. And now something has to go in where I cleared.
(This is way bigger than any one person, just giving real world example)
There are going to be countless situations all over the country that are going to have to get sorted out or there will be massive litigation.
One tiny example. I'm actually in the middle of an EQIP contract right now on my own farm. It's partially complete. I haven't been paid anything yet.
No problem at all keeping prices for youth status quo. I can 100% see a valid argument there. More involved the better.
I think you look at "entertainment", anything for kids, the cost of a hunting license that is good for several months is exponentially cheaper than nearly anything you can...
Tons of things that could be done on revenue front if it was a concern (which it's not)
Increase resident tag cost
Increase NR tag cost and get wait time on tags back down to a couple years.
Make LOT tags the same price as regular tags
Charge hikers, bird watchers, dog walkers, etc for access...
Probably getting to the bottom line the same with different schedules, not sure.
It can make a difference for sure in other aspects. Just one example, in my county you cannot put up a pole barn/ag building without a house UNLESS you have a schedule F. Yes they make you submit it.
