    Brassicas

I don't have much experience with brassicas so Ill need some help from the experts. I hunted a brassica plot last night and the deer are hammering them. I am concerned that they are going to eat them to the ground. My question is will the bulbs still develop after they browse the tops? Should I...

Looking good, I was also able to get my last projects done on the farm. Planted rye, wheat, peas and oats and got my hay bale blind set up on a brassica plot. Also put urea on my brassica plots now we just need some rain. Cant wait for September 14th, Im praying for a northwest wind so I can...

    Ideal stand setup

My personal preference would be a funnel on the top of a ridge that connects two doe bedding areas on a calm crisp frosty November morning, rising thermals will keep the stand bullet proof.

    Late Planted Plot Screen

A little change in plans, with all the storms that rolled through and the heat I'll be working all weekend. With that said my next available weekend to plant is August 3rd. Am I waisting my money or should I still give it a go? As stated earlier I'll only need it to get 3-4' tall to achieve what...

    Hunting near highways/interstates

Personal experience is that the overall age structure is relatively low but with every herd there's a few that make it through. Growing up in a small town and having a large family farm on a busy road people always informed me what and where they saw it as they were driving by.

    Late Planted Plot Screen

Has anyone planted plot screen this late in the year? I know I won't get a maximum growth from it but that ok as I only need it to get a few feet tall to hide my entry and exit to the blind. Should I give it a go or will I not be able to get the 3-4' I'm looking for?
