Now that I know there are WAY to many deer around me, I may pop in a stand today and zap a doe.
Haven't sat in a stand since Halloween and am having withdrawals.
Haven't seen any yet(that I know of) but have dragged several Christmas day bucks out of the woods over the years and have one or both antlers pop off.
As of ( right at dark) tonight, there were about 150 deer across the river 1/2 mile east of me and another 75 or so 1/4 miles north of me.
I'm the only one that has done ANY habitat improvement.
Fearful that all my hard work is gonna be destroyed with those kind of numbers.

Up untill about 15 years ago, our " many" riverbottoms were so orange it was blinding.

Maybe not mature bucks, but...
Deer in general will gravitate to most (new) disturbances in their core area.
An ice storm that brings down even small branches can become a magnet.
