I planted several around front yard .
Have watched many bucks walk right by them over the years without notice.
Last summer, I pruned off a couple " in thier face" branches and it was game on last fall.
Lol.
Reflecting on some huge bucks taken, I'm starting to realize that all this time/ money we spend trying to grow " big" deer ain't what it's .....
For years, I've planted food plots, put out mineral sites. Always with the assumption that it'll help bucks get bigger. Begginging to think it a bunch...
Jonathon. I use aspen/ popple trees.
Bass, I don't use any scent. Just put them near a well used travel route and in a open area.
Wish I had more pics saved. Been an annual tradition for bout 15 years.
Basswood also works well.
If you are gonna plant them, ^^ these guys said it.
Or go totally (overboard and plant a gazzilion, and hope most make it.
I've done mine with cuttings. WAY cheaper/ easier then buying rooted stock.
Have got about 15 ladderstands set up and am struggling with them getting wet and squirrels chewing them up. (The seat cushion)
You fellas find anything that works well too avoid these problems?
All my stands are the type with steel mesh type seats.
