I'm not good at looking at maps. But if you have got 7 acres to play with food plot wise, I'd recommend a 1/2 acre into pumpkins. An area that gives good sunlight.

WL, yes, I did and will continue to do " wildlife enhancment". I will not EVER build a wire fence where deer have to be funneled into a certain spot to go about their daily lives. Wouldn't do it if a 300" inch deer showed up. I enjoy the (hunt). How many here would do it just to shoot does...

This is getting kinda stupid. You wanna make a " fence" to funnel deer, so be it. But when you post a photo on your big,old,wise buck that has eluded you and countless other hunters, make sure you disclose that you built a fence to funnel him to you. Hunt smarter, not harder kinda thing. ,

Just got the 4th of the day 10 minutes ago. Hounds did great. No deer or turkys were harmed.:cool:

Personally, I really don't care if there is chicory in the blend. I have planted a c/ c blend years ago (don't recall who) sold it? And yep, it turned out fantastic and the deer ate it very well. However, just for the ease of things, I'd rather pland a plot of several PERENNIAL clovers. Can see...

Just allow/ respect/ learn more about houndsmen. Everyone I know that runs hounds knows exactly where their dogs are. Even if miles away. Just guessing but, watching by his videos, Bomar likes to embelish what he does.!;) A houndsman can tell IMMEDIATELY via GPS if someone picks up thier dog...

First year (this past) I've ever had problems with deer eating the plants while they were growing. A couple of stinky t shirts hung on posts stuck in the plots worked great. Used to mix pumpkins with Acorn squash bout 50/50 but they like the squash abit earlier. I typically don't start hunting...

Let's see your sheds fellas. Went for a coyote walk today. Dang near drove over the 5pt side in a stubble field. Judging 1/2 (at least) the bucks are shed.
