Hmmm, this is the first year in 15 I've had any boxelder bugs in my cabin. Have you fellas tried hinge cutting them or flush cutting them for browse? JNR, yep, they do stink while burning for sure but I'm starting to like the smell. Lol.

Far as I'm concerned, Boxelder is a HUGE under rated tree for deer. I'm have 1000s of them. They stump sprouts like crazy, hinge cut about the best and often grow at leaning / crooked angles that give the woods a different look then just a vertical view. One bad thing is....,red squirrels...

This morning, I cut down 4 small boxelder trees that were growing from a stump from a big tree I cut years ago. They were all leaning in one direction so I dropped them in a pile. Bout 1/2 hour ago, I looked out and there were 6 deer devouring the limb tips. Incredible how fast they zoned in...

In an orchestrated event like that was , yeah, mistakes can be made. I believe Trump is a God fearing Man. However, I could care less if he worshiped Satan. Long as he keeps America great .

Prey animals I believe have the know how to know if they are gonna be targeted. I've watched many coyotes walk close to deer out feeding in open grounds and pay almost Zero attention. A Predator walks/ has a different posture while moving between kill/ casual mode.

Seen very few deer out the window this evening and the ones I saw were acting skittish. Bout 1/2 hour ago, right at dark I looked out and seen a coyote. Had a .22lr within reach, cracked open the window and dropped him in his tracks at 80 yards. :p Will go take a pic in the morning.

When hunting at my cabin, I always have a smudge fire going in the burn barrel. Start it about October 20th and keep it going for 3/4 weeks. The wood that I like the best to burn is boxelder,cottonwood,and elm. The punkier, the better for smoke. Also collect bags of leaves from boulevards and...

Shouldn't be at all. We basically have no snow and there is lots of good food close by. I went by the yard today where the bags came from and the leaves are from huge cottonwood trees. They sure like them.

Bout 7 years ago, a terrible cold front/ blizzard set in. This fawn layed down in front of my cam and over the course of several hours basically got covered with snow. It finally stood up to shake off the snow. Purdy neat capture.
