As an OLD dude whose eyesight is somewhat diminishing, yet my non-fat fingers can type, I'm hoping to still buy ground. The current prices make me look back to the "glory" days and wish I'd bought more back before everything got run up. So on the topic of affordability, we are on equal...
Weren't you throwing around the "comrade" barb at people in previous posts? I'm sensing a tad bit of hypocrisy. The above can come off as a little anti-capitalistic.
I don't think I would care to discuss needing a LOT for cull bucks with the average Iowan or the average deer hunter. One person's cull might be another's trophy.
Whether I'm tagged out or still hunting, we don't grant permission to hunt. So land ownership basically has it "locked up" in my case, doubt I'm the exception in this regard. Who opens up their farm when their tag is punched? Maybe to a friend or family, but it won't become "public hunting"...

A person who worked part time at the Scheel's in Coralville related a similar story, that there was only one bow technician working there that they trusted. How to identify that person as a customer is the million-dollar question.
As has been mentioned, I was under the impression that one had to see a cash stream from the property.
From a call to the DNR in DSM, I got the feeling that they see all parcels registered whether the husband or wife or both are listed as owner and only one LOT will be issued accordingly. For...
Looked at the offerings in 350 Legend and saw FMJ. Why and for what I have no idea.
Lots of jacketed soft point, which wouldn't be my choice unless aiming at shoulder.
Would opt for Hornady FTX (replaced the SST line?) or Barnes Triple-Shock. Might cost a little more but can't justify going...
Seems like bullet selection/options might be a factor as well. Not sure what they are offering in the Legend ammo.
With the ML, I stopped shooting 250 grain Hornady SST's as they were explosive, fragged hard. Great if you are lunging them, not so good with bones. The other side of the coin...
