    Deer #’s down statewide???

Sarcasm. The DNR wants to sell licenses though. They aren't going to tell people to stay home or think about how many tags to fill.

    Deer #’s down statewide???

Oh stop your hand wringing! Deer numbers are strong statewide!

    Late maturing chesnuts

I dug in the garden Sunday and had a good 3" frost layer. Wouldn't care to plant too many trees right now.

Beginning Farmer - No Till Pointers

Row spacing on that Deere planter? I'd prefer to drill beans, but a person can make do.

List the make and model of your planting equipment. There are aftermarket parts for some to make them better at no-till.

    Venison processing and Euro mount

No, I haven't had venison processed anywhere lately. We quit eating it and I give it away, usually pretty easy to find a taker, even unskinned. Tipton was getting deer in when I dropped off the cow two weeks ago and people were picking up venison when I was there yesterday, so someone must be...

    Venison processing and Euro mount

This is the second beef the new owner has done for us and we have been satisfied with the previous one. This one was an old stock cow so we had the majority of it ground which ran up the bill, but I was expecting as much. More work to cut/grind/tube. Got some ribeye, sirloins and NY strips...

    Venison processing and Euro mount

I picked up a beef at the Tipton Locker yesterday afternoon. I was surprised to see that he offers to do a Euro prep on your deer head for $100 if you have them process your deer. FYI, for those in the area. Not sure I've seen another locker offer this.

    Trapping 2024-25

We had two ponds until the muskrats moved in. Now we have one. [emoji52]. Think they tunneled to a sand vein on the one. Trapped 21 out of the surviving pond that year. Keeping an eye out for their return, I’ll pound them any time of year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Diseased Buck Help!

During shotgun season one year, my friend jumped a buck and hammered it, DRT. Started skinning and he was green head to toe, trashed him. My opinion is he was septic from a previous wound. Another year, I got trail camera pics of a buck with a festering wound on a hind leg all summer long...

    Pioneer Seed

Way back when, I contacted Pheasants Forever and the guy alluded that he would want to hunt I I got free seed from him, so thus it wasn't so free.

    This little guys

Ha ha, watched Dad do it. Ugh, what's that white stuff?

    Pioneer Seed

Way back when I food plotted, a local seed dealer would give away opened bags that other clients had returned. Most are treated so you are not supposed to trash them. Maybe he was the exception. Might get a later start on planting, but if it is food plot, any bushel loss isn't a huge financial...
