I do a lot of reading but less and less posting. I don't post any of my harvests and there's a thread in the harvest report right now that proves why. There's still plenty of good information to be had here, just a few bad eggs like to spoil it for everyone.

Start with Google maps. You can do a lot of good there. Next time you may want to do a scouting trip before hand. I've had plenty of success with aerial scouting and first time sits.

Echo everything that has been said. As long as you can brave the cold, snow, and anything else that comes late in the season - its a great season to choose.
