I didn't hunt this morning - had some errands to do with the wife. Will be out tonight, tomorrow AM and evening. Need to start thinking about a few days to take off from work so hoping the action pics up.

I've been canning venison for a couple years now. U can also 'pull' the meat and heat in a pan with BBQ for sandwiches also.

I have never seen a coyote from the stand. Heard them a few times at dark but never seen one.

Not sure how many duck hunters we have on the forums - but probably also some guys who just like to have their dogs on the boat. I acquired this dog ladder with a boat purchase and don't have a dog myself. Asking $80 - I am in North Liberty. Here's a link to my craigslist ad for pictures...

My compound sold last night so I am 'all in'. I had sat 2 other times with the stick bow this year but needed to oust my crutch. It feels almost spiritual to be in the woods with a simple stick and string.

Im out as well. Just got set up - decided to fish this morning. Hoping to get one 'stickbow' close.

Nope - way too early. Every year guys will say it comes early but it never does. 2nd week of Nov where I'm at (always ).

I shot about a 130" buck in 2008 over a scrape.

That's a big ole buck! I really would love to hunt Kansas.

I've yet to sit all day but I will sit from 830-dark. Last year I killed my buck at 11 AM and I was planning to get down at 3. Prior to that I hadnt sat mid day.

I will just keep on hunting. I do my best to contain my scent. I don't get that much time in the woods as it is - so I would never just get down because of a wind change.
