Stand primarily. There's one area that doesn't really allow for a good stand location that is a candidate for ground sits. But I rarely hunt it until late muzz.
I would definitely put a note on the treestands, also take the pic(s) into your local archery shops and see if they can identify. I'd be polite about it at first - pry a case of not knowing property lines. Not saying thats a reason to trespass, but I wouldnt go into it 'guns blazing'. You...
This will be the year for me....selling my compound and going to the long bow full time. I've been using the compound as a crutch for 4 years now, always telling myself that I'm not ready. I'm ready now - and I'll either harvest or eat a couple tags trying.
Guys: new price ($400). Motivated to sell this because I NEED to force myself to take my traditional bow to the woods. Contact me via PM or email/text via the craigslist ad. I can throw in some slick trick heads if you need broadheads to get yourself hunting.
I am selling my Ross Cardiac (60-70#) hunting bow. Currently 27" draw but I also have a 28" module. All other modules can still be bought via a dealer or readily available via ebay/archerytalk.
Included with the bow:
HHA 1 pin .019" green pin sight
Limbsaver 10.5" stabilizer
ROSS 2 piece...
Have not checked this thread in quite a while but did get my long bow. I love how light it is compared to the buffalo. Very quiet and plenty fast. IMO they are the best deal there is on a custom trad bow. Don Dow has since passed but Rich Emery is still making his bows.
Selling:
3 boxes (15 slugs) of Remington Accu-tip
3 boxes (15 slugs) of Hornady SST 300gr
1 box (5 slugs) of Savage sabots
Sold my rifled barrel and no need for these. Would take $50 for these. Call or text 319-239-9677 - I'm in North Liberty.
I sold my 308 so I have no need for the ammo I have left over. Most of this is match grade ammo, so its perfect for you AR-10 or tactical bolt guys. There's some hunting ammo mixed in as well.
Here's what I got:
94 rounds: Federal Gold Medal Match - 168 gr
120 rounds: Hornady Match 168gr...
Look for escape routes. Deer will be pushed around early and late morning when hunters move to and from their stands. Again early afternoon when they head out for the evening hunt. Hunting mid day is also usually good for me. Sometimes I'll head out about 830 and hunt til dark.
