I have been a muddy Harness guy for about 20 years now. Its the only ones i use. A bit pricy, but i trust them and they are light and easy to use.

If only more gun hunters would return the favor and not burn out every spot they push. Not all are like this, but many don't give two shits for the people who bow hunt or muzzy hunt the land they push. Just my experience

i Spoke with Franz about a month ago in Scheels in Des Moines. He doesn't even hunt anymore. I am sure all the grief he took and the legal battle took it out of him.

I have also not seen a single jake in 2 years. Another odd thing i have happen over the last couple years, is red tail hawks attacking my hen decoy. I have had it happen twice in 5 years.

I often wonder if Youth season has a bigger effect on them than we suspect. It so early in April and it used to be even earlier before they make it only a weekend before season 1. I am sure it a culmination of early hunting, more people tagging out, predators, habitat and pesticides.

Unpopular opinion: Knocking on doors, asking nicely and offering to help around farm doesn't work. Maybe it did 30 years ago. Maybe it does if you grew up around where you hunt and have known everyone since you were 5. But i moved here 20 years ago and the struggle is real.

My next unpopular opinion might get me in strung up lol. I think Iowa should get rid of party hunting and deer driving. I know its the way its always been but i don't like it. Never have. Never will.

Having kids under the age of 10 hunting for deer. I really don't like seeing 4 and 5 yo kids killing deer. In my opinion, they don't understand the concept of what they are doing. I know it a very unpopular opinion but i think its more about the parent than the kid. Ok now you can roast me...

i just looked at the HUSH list and i am surprised at how few there are any more. Its sad because its such a great program for food banks. I exclusively donate any deer i shoot. I just don't like deer meat anymore and won't let it go to waste though.
