Good to get buck on cam again and I think he is shootable but the coyote is going to die if the chance arrives. GRRRRR!!!! Right off my foodplot or at least thats what I am gonna believe to make the revenge even sweeter. If you look closely that is a fawn in his mouth, the head of the fawn is...
Seriously I need rain on my food plots! I had to redo them the first part of July do to too much rain now they have came up good but it is dry dry dry. The deer are smashing them and I am afraid if I don't get rain soon they will be a total double loss. Anyone else having this problem. I...
I have noticed alot of the oaks have acorns this year. Might have to dig a little deeper to find that big buck this year, if this is the case all through the state.
Me too, we have a dozen of him so far he is there about every other day, mostly am pics so far during light hours. He is showing up on a food plot. Sure is cool to watch him progress. Should have some more of him in couple weeks will post again. By that time he should be pretty well done I...
I am trying to practice what I preach and am having a hard time deciding whether or not this is a four year old deer. He has great mass. Looking for everyones insight on what they think on age and how many inches? Thanks. I am guessing he is four and gonna end up around the mid 140 mark. Here...
PYBUCKS, I too planted mine in very southern part of Iowa and I planted them on about the 19 of July and they turned out fabulous. They have eaten lots of the tops but no bulbs I am hoping by mid December I see some being eaten.
Man when are they gonna start eating those things. There have been munchin on some greens but not touching any of the bulbs yet. I have turnips the size of mini basketballs out there, cant wait to see the holes in the ground soon!! Looks like it is going to be awhile though. When can I...
Man I just want to come help you look all day!! I have been there and I looked all day for a real nice buck. I got a call from the land owner the next spring. He found him in the creek, said he had been the some time. I Must have skipped just a few yards of that creek cause it was on a bend...
Guys, if there is water near by... make sure you check all the water areas, he will be wanting to cool off from the fever!! Had liver shot buck once, arrow was dripping with solid red blood. Watched the deer run close to 200 yards across pasture, let him lay for 8 hours and went back to find...
"Heck of a buck, Congrats!!! What is hilarious is I received a text message of you and pic of your deer on Monday morning!! Never thought I'd see it on here. Congrats again!! "
Same here only the deer was facing the other direction I think. Great buck man. Your face looks familiar but can't...
In my opinion, I never want the wind ending up where I think the deer will be staging or hanging out. I always want the wind blowing away from or in my face from where I think the deer will be. This leaves little chance of being winded and a frustrating night in the stand. I don't always bank...
If you are wanting to call does in, just use a fawn bleat aggressively, almost distressed fawn sound. I have it work many times to take a doe. They come running in looking for whatever may have their fawn in destress.
Daver,
Definately looks like a grey to me too. That is awesome I wood love to see more of those around actually, more fox and less coyotes. Great pics.
