Like the title says. Stopped by to get my deer from the processor this afternoon, and they lost my antlers. I am furious and upset. First Iowa Whitetail since I moved here. Here are a couple photos of him, he was my nicest to date. I am sick to my stomach. Not sure what to do, figured I would...
Are Xbows allowed during shotgun or muzzy season (lesser weapon) ?
I guess what I’m wondering does anyone know someone who just loves the Xbow so much they would rather use that over a gun ?
And I’m with ya skip. I’ll die on this hill. No Xbows during archery season for abled bodies.
I did not think supplemental feeding was allowed until after season (Jan 10). I have not been able to find what the law actually is. Can you feed as long as you are done hunting for the season ?
Thanks
North of Drakesville. Talked to local farmer who does food plots for a couple hunters and they also confirm the same thing. Numbers down in the area and so far 19 total on “our block” found dead.
As someone who relocated from Wisconsin, I can say letting Xbow into archery has had a negative affect on the deer herd in Wisconsin. Now with that being said Wisconsin does every single thing wrong when it comes to managing a whitetail herd not just allowing Xbows in archery.
We found 11 dead in Davis county during archery season. Not even trying. I’m scared what I will find after season. My top 4 bucks on property have vanished.
Highly recommend drilling if you have the ability to do so. I did not get rain for 22 days in my area this spring after I drilled beans, and they still came out real well.
I have noticed on my farm that fence posts with 1 fence stapl in them are not rubbed on, but fence posts where there are no fence staples are hammered every year. Maybe pound a nail or fence staple in on each side and this will deter them.
