It always seems to me that all the deer that i have seen that died of ehd.were either in velvet or they just came out and had not really began rubbing yet. All the bumps on the bases were still pointed and sharp. But that is prolly just me hoping thats the case cause most are out of velvet here.

You can bowhunt during early muzzy season. But you cannot use a bow to fill your early muzzloader tag. You can use a bow to fill the late muzzloader tag though.

Not the same buck! g4s on the new deer are way smaller. frame is alot smaller also. i would say the new buck is a 140ish buck and the big 10 is in the 160s.

I heard this morning that the deer that tested positive was brought in from another facility two days before it was shot. I would think that is pretty positive news for our neighborhood. My only concern is that im sure it wasn't the only deer hauled down here in the close confines of a trailer.

Looks like the same deer to me. He might be 4.5 but looking hoe young he looked last year i would say he was just 2.5 last year, but its tough to be sure with only 1 picture. He definately put on some inches this year.
