Fines and loss of hunting privileges are far too weak. Granted loss of hunting privileges often do not stop these people.
I donate because anything that can help is worth it.
My question is why the cases where people haven't paid their fines is there not warrants out for their arrest?
I'll be putting some cams out this week as the bucks are starting to get to the point that I can tell who they are or at least guesstimate their size.
Generally I check once a week by UTV. Doesn't seem to spook them far. I probably check more than the ave guy does even during season and it...
Yes you can but the farmer who is leasing your ground cannot also get a tag on it. Most times the farmer may only be leasing the crop ground not the entire farm.
Any rental agreement should include who will have landowner hunting privileges.
I really don't think the level of income plays...
Sounds like all the Iowa men knew the men were hunting illegally. Damn near as guilty and just as guilty if you allow it on your land. Plenty of text message evidence supporting the deer was not harvested legally. They should have taken more than the rack! Too bad there is a SOL on this.
Try multiple brands. Each individual gun is different. Can make a huge difference. My old Benelli M1 shot awesome with Rem Core Lokt Ultras. My Winchester SX3 20 shoots best with Hornady's SST's.
Hunting for close to 20 years with a older Benelli M1 Super 90. Loved it and it was very accurate with a rifled barrel and Core Loct Ultra Rem's. Finally got sick of carrying around such a heavy gun and went out and bought a Winchester sx3 cantelever in 20 gauge. Now shooting Hornady...
I'd like to see a huge class action lawsuit brought against the USDA over the Asian ladybugs. Not to get any money but to send them a warning about bringing in non-native species without understand the long term effects. Don't get me wrong I hate the thought of a bunch of lawyers making out...
Bait is any "lure." It doesn't have to be a food source. A bleat can, rattle, grunt tube, doe or buck pee you name it. I guess we all bait deer.
Watching a hunting show last night a company is now promoting a plastic fence to block/guide the deer into your stand. While I plant food plots...
We ride ATV's quite a bit on our 230 but pretty much shut it down in September besides one leaf ride (which is upwards of 20 UTV's) and checking trail cams. With as anxious as I am on cards we are probably out more doing this but in and out very quick.
A few of our neighbors greatly limit ATV...
Not worth the legal issues it will bring. If collared you might be able to get them to come to you. If a name on the collar take to the owner with a warning the next time you take them to the local pound.
When you watch the DNR/Drury video they seem to indicate its more about the potential spread of disease with a bait pile vs even a small food plot that has them concerned. Also with a bait pile you are trying to pinpoint exactly where they will be. Even with small food plots that can be...
I can tell you with a lot of experience that legal easements can be beyond difficult and costly but by law you have to be given access to your ground. I can link you to a case of ground that I purchased that had an easement case go all the way to the Iowa SC prior to me buying it. The...
Gave up on beans. I plant a total of about 5.5 acres of corn. More for the nutrition than an attractant. I look at it this way, if I can get 150 bu/acre out of corn and only 50 bu/acre of beans I'm looking at an increase of 550 bushels to get the wildlife thru the winter.
