Most hunting shows are simply a personal video album of personalities hunt. Midwest Whitetail is one of the few good ones that actually help hunters out.
I realize you cannot easily create funnels by having a logger come in and do some regular logging but if I have some good mature walnuts (20"+ dia) would I be better off having them come in and take 3-5 Walnuts per acre than hinge cutting some other less desirable tree's? I gain some ground...
I got some ground that is too rocky to till up which I'd love to frost seed. I killed off the resident grasses with roundup this fall but there is plenty of the old residual material there. Is there any particular seed that works best in areas you cannot get down to the soil?
Maybe someone already responded but I started deer hunting in 1982 and you could get a doe tag in the 80's but it was by lottery for first season. Not sure about second. Back then we had about 10 guys in our group and usually 2-4 drew either sex tags so I'd guess the draw rate somewhere...
I'm in product design and manufacturing and happen to hold 4 patents and have 3 more that have been applied for.
What others have said is true. First contact a reputable patent firm and discuss it with them. You can easily do some research prior to the meeting as the fed govt has an...
Nobody's saying they aren't. People are mainly trying to stop those from shooting accross the fence which I think some hunters have a problem stopping themselves from doing.
Love the auto's but I got a Henry .22 L/A that's my favorite. Can shoot both shorts and longs, easy to load and a very smooth action.

The fact is if we didn't have such a large number of tresspasser's and poachers in the hunting community this wouldn't even be a topic to discuss. However we all know that simply is not the case. I don't think anyone is promoting not trying to handle it in a friendly way first but pending how...
I don't think anyone on here is claiming to "own" the deer just that when someone puts themselves in that postion its reasonable to be concerned that someone may do it (shoot accross the line), especially if they are clearing shooting lanes and what not. With the right to pursue laws its easy...
All things considering with input costs in the $700-$900 range I'd say $200 per Acre CRP payment is looking pretty good considering there is no risk. I just put about 1/3 of my 60 tillable acres in and am getting $203/acre.
At $5.00 corn you would need 180 b/a to break even with $900 input costs.
Can you break down that cost some. $850-$900 input costs seems a bit high to me.
Nevermind. Found some online.

Tell them to hunt a ditch you should have permission from the private landowner if you are planning on shooting the bird OVER private property. Also tell them that the landowner OWNS and pays taxes to the center of the road. The ditch and road is simply an easement which unfortunately does...
