    Oversprayed Cedars

I spray at ISU, turf and landscape beds. If I did this, I’d be in deep shit!!!! No excuse for stupidity!

    CW’s 2024 Spring Turkey Season

Also, that was such a fun hunt!!!! I won’t say I ruined it with my shooting. It just made the memory funnier for Curtis and I. It’s too bad the super fat turkey we saw that morning never got close enough, I may have succeeded in killing it with a heart attack. That big boy has got to have some...

Leave me and my target panic out of your stories!!!! To quote the coach from Letterkenny….”Really embarrassing!!!” Pretty accurate description of my shooting when it’s a real animal

    Backpack sprayer recommendations?

We use the Stihl SG 20 at work. Pretty bulletproof and easy to work on.

    Raccon bounty

Also, I don’t spend more than 5 minutes at a tree. There’s generally 3 outcomes, they come flying out like they’re on fire, they only peek out, or nothing. Camo is optional, just sit still and relatively quiet. Our best hunt happened last year, I think we called 7 out of 5 trees, and shot 5.

    Raccon bounty

I’ve had great luck calling raccoons out of den trees in the middle of the day. Put the call on the opposite site of the hole you expect them to come out of, this makes them come completely out. Turn on coon fight or coon distress and get ready!!!! Last year we had two come in running from 50...

    Raccon bounty

I think a lot of trappers are going the NWCO route because the fur prices are crap. The only way to make money trapping is to do it on a nuisance basis. Hence, trappers charging to trap. I struggle with this mightily as a trapper. I’ve been fortunate to have ground to trap. I also have farmers...

What's up with this deer's leg?

No way a leg hold trap would get that high on the leg, and with Iowa requiring a deer stop on snares, I think it’s doubtful

Lawmakers want to rape our state HF2672

The republicans in this state are bought and paid for. They do not care about conservation or outdoorsmen

I dropped off a cinnamon roll and chocolate milk for Curtis today…he looked bad, and that’s saying something!

    Gideon Lee Walker

I’ll chime in for Curtis. I haven’t seen much for baby pics because Papa Ranger has been sicker then a dog, Influenza B if I remember correctly. I miss him at work, he’s generally a good source of comedy!

Prescribed Burn - Backpack Blower Recommendations

We have stihl blowers at work. I work on them and use them. They are great!!! I’d recommend the BR 800. They move a ton of air compared the the 600 or 700, I think close to 30% more. Also, the 800 has a chest buckle and a waist strap, which helps distribute the weight well and keeps it from...

    Trapping 2023-2024

Fur prices what they are, that’s probably further than he’d like to drive. But you never know.

    Trapping 2023-2024

    Trapping 2023-2024

Caught my first 2 beavs in the spring season this weekend. A 45 and 50 respectively. As you can see by the strained smile. Today was slow, but dispersal should start soon and it should pick up.
