The last few years there hasn’t been as much gun pressure on the neighbor’s so hopefully the bucks have a chance of living a little longer.

I’ve killed quite a few turkeys, only a few have had spurs like this. To have both in a double have them is pretty awesome. I think I’ll make something for my son with them.

I saw a good sized group with 3 strutters in the Madrid area yesterday while checking beaver traps.

Could it be from iron chlorosis? I thought some evergreens will get it.

If you’re only hunting late muzz when it’s nice, you’re missing some of the best hunting. Two problems with whoever is the fair weather hunter…hunting late muzz January 18…and taking a half hearted shot. If you’re not actually trying you just shouldn’t shoot…period!

I’m saving the castors….unfortunately the price of castor has dropped from $65-$70 a pound to $25-$30 if you can even sell it. Currently have close to 8 lbs.

For whatever reason, the SST’s through my slug gun are absolute hammers! Not in the muzzleloader though.

And if you trap in the water with pocket sets, you can catch all sorts of stuff I’ve personally caught coons, muskrats, mink, beaver, possums, and otters in pocket sets.

I also had 1 night where I caught 9 that I assume we’re heading to her house. Lol!!!!
