I shot a Scott mongoose for about 10 years. It was a good quality release.
I switched a few months ago to a spot hog Saturday night special. My accuracy for long distance shooting (30-50 yards) has improved dramatically.
I recommend a hand held release, with a thumb trigger, over a wrist...
I use an I pad. I transfer the pics from the trail cam easily to my iPad.
If I want them to go from my iPad to my home Mac I simply em them and store them in iPhoto.
Works well for me.
A tick collar for dogs works great. I used it on my lab. Your lab probably has a bunch of ticks on him that you didn't find. They even get stuck between the webbing in their paws!
Any top notch spray that's designed to keep ticks off and applied to your clothing works great.
Go with an iPhone. I have one and have used them since they first came out. It works great!
If you have questions once you purchase it you can call apple care and they will walk you through what ever you're trying to resolve. That's been extremely helpful for me.
