The last several years I have seen the first ticks in Feb and the numbers obviously increase as warmer days tick by(pun intended). I've been out in the woods and grasses quite a bit this spring and have yet to see 1.

Is it a certain variety? Cost per tree?

If you're going to ban mineral sites, you better ban licking branches and scrapes too :rolleyes: CWD kills a fraction of what EHD and hunters do.

At the surface it sounds nice, but its not good. It will definitely have a negative impact on age class/quality.

I read somewhere once(not sure where) that they will allow a change if they deem it an "upgrade". The way I understood it, you could potentially upgrade a cool seasons stand by converting it into a NWSG, tree planting, or pollinator.

Does the NRCS ever allow mid contract changes to CRP contracts? For instance, if someone has a field of cool seasons grasses in contract, could it be converted to a warm seasons blend or maybe even a tree planting contract? Figured it wouldn't hurt to check here on IW prior calling an office...

Would Crossbow kill off small locust trees too? I have a bunch of 1-5 ft tall locusts growing in a grassy area.
