    Hoyt Carbon element

Great shooting bow. Love mine. It's $$$ though. Shooting it side by side with anything will point you in the right direction.

What to do after the kill

Get it quartered and in coolers with dry ice, or a fridge is even better. Or just get it to the locker right away.

    Safety Harness Question

Also have HSS system. Works well and the pockets are nice. Can't beat it for dragging deer either.

    Hunting Scrape Lines

Scrapes are great for trail cam pictures, but like said before, most of my experience has been that scrape activity is most often at night. Use the terrain to determine the natural funnels of this draw and where the trails seem the most concentrated close to the bedding areas. Hunt when the wind...

cwd - cervid captive livestock escapes, loose and on the run in the wild...

So... are you like a CWD spammer or something? I guess I don't understand your intent? Copying and pasting 50 pages of mumbo jumbo that nobody is going to read isn't going to get any message across.

    watering food plots

I dunno what it is loneranger, and I'm not trying to start anything because I've just recently noticed it and I don't even know who you are, but every single post you make is about how much the Iowa weather sucks, and we can't grow anything (even though Iowa is like #1 in just about every...

    Hang Ons?

I haven't really had any terrible luck with any of them and I've tried quite a few. I have not tried the new Muddy brand treestands but I've heard they are nice. Biggest thing is the hanging mechanism (pre hanger clip like the new muddy treestands do, API had screw in t-hangers long ago) those...

    Ehd

Must be farm bureau poisoning water holes now... man... they think of everything. Hopefully we get some rain soon, although a lot of the crops in central iowa are past caring. Not much we can do about the weather. Hopefully we don't get round 2 of EHD this year, although it's shaping up to be...

Whats the best broadheads on the market today?

I try new broadheads all the time. Mostly because I just like to experiment, and am always looking for "the one". The fact of the matter is, there are no broadheads on the market that won't kill the critter if you put it in the right spot. I've seen the devastation that some of today's...

Notice anything weird about this fawn?

I can't imagine that that thing is very mobile. I would think that it would have a hard time keeping away from the coyotes. Still very awesome though.

trophy ridge react sight with smart pin technology

I think it's a great concept, and it should work well, although I feel it may encourage shooters to shoot beyond their abilities. It certainly would make sighting in easier. Seems like a well built sight, but I'd have a hard time getting rid of my spot Hogg however.

    19 days and counting.....

13 Days, 1 hour, 29 minutes for me. DIY, Idaho, 10 days. Been running since July, and climbing hills / doing squats / and lunges with a full pack on my back. Dropped 27 lbs. so far, and am so excited I haven't been able to focus on work for at least 2 weeks. Good luck to ya!

    How far up?

Depending on terrain, I like to be 20-25'. If it's very well hidden at 15', I might consider that. There's no book, or guide, to tell you how high to put a stand. I know guys that consistently kill decent bucks with no stand higher than 12'. I prefer to be higher.

    Release

Carter Chocolate Addiction for me... My accuracy and consistent anchoring is more repeatable with a hand/thumb trigger style release.
