Deer never eat Kale in my plots. But will mow radish, turnips. Its a junk filler as far as I'm concerned..

How wide is your screen? I do have deer beds in my sorghum screens from time to time, but on my property these are only utilized at night. Could be proximity to road however. Almost like they feed in the field (6 acres) and rest during periods between feeding right at the food source...

These are great setups, I utilize several like this on my property. Also great for neighbors to come by honking and clear the field if needed for me :)
