    Acorns to Oaks!

Are you just using a 5' chunk of conduit for a 5' tube? How deep do you need to pound in the conduit?

    Hawk blinds

Hitch on the front of a skidloader or ranger makes a huge difference. We back all kinds of wagons and other running gear in sheds and looking forward instead of backwards is a game changer.

Still no hunting here but maybe later this week if it rains. Added a picture of my little buck with the busted jaw. Been around since 2021. He's either really brave or dumb.

A second ARCHERY tag in Iowa??

You say you want government out of it, yet you want the government to give/sell you a government document that you can resell for a profit. What a load of poo that is. Nobody is stopping you from leasing the ground you own or generating income from it.

A second ARCHERY tag in Iowa??

This was before you had to prove you were a landowner or tenant with parcel numbers. There was a time where LOT tags were sort of on the honor system. You didn't have to provide any proof to get one so people that shouldn't have been able to get them still got them. I do not know what year that...

A second ARCHERY tag in Iowa??

Read windlookers post on the first page about who qualifies as an owner. He did not qualify. This was also at least 10 to 15 years ago. Before you had to put in a parcel number to qualify to get a landowner tag.

A second ARCHERY tag in Iowa??

I do know of a guy that had a good sized acreage( like 6 or 7 acres) that shot a good buck(like 160+) that had it seized by the dnr for using a landowner tag. He did shoot it on his land but didn't meet any of the lot requirements. Assume someone that had been hunting this buck was upset and...

What did I get myself into…

Just a guess here but I am going to guess it drove some sort of pump or device for insecticide or nitrogen.

    Acorns to Oaks!

There aren't any white oaks on my property yet, but went a week ago to a nature reserve and white oak acorns were everywhere so we collected a bunch.

    Fall harvest

I have seen corn get disease bad in it late where it makes a black dust cloud when combining it. Covers the combine in what almost looks like soot. Could be what he is referring to?

    Help identifying oak species

I originally thought this was a pin oak but now I'm not sure. The leaves on the outer branches look like pin leaves but as you get closer to the trunk the leaves are fatter. I'm going to plant some of the acorns regardless because the turkeys seem to love this tree.

Youth hunting? Tactics, what to shoot & anyone going?

Was hoping my oldest daughter, 9, would want to try it this year, but she told me she wasn't ready for it yet. I do think she will go with me for a couple sits during late muzzu and hopefully that gets her back into it.
