Maybe this has been discussed before, can you upgrade your buck if you kill a bigger one with a second any sex tag , different species, different state ?
That 7" is a conservative number. Reports of 7-9 a few sections around me.
Had 3- 5 gallon buckets at different locations 2" from full. Last time l had that much rain was 2005.

According to my highly sophisticated rain gauge. It is raining buckets in West Central Iowa!
The title of my next thread will probably be "how much rain is too much rain !"
Ha.

I would throw some clover in with it, use it as a cover crop also. Double duty. Then you'll have a good clover stand next year.
Hope you are right about rain in Western Iowa. Good luck!
All around it it's been a pretty good year in my area. Corn and beans will be fine, it is just my August planted food plots that won't. Oh well , the deer never seem to like brassicas at my place anyway haha. They love the winter Rye radishes and peas though.

Congrats! I have been in the"void" in west central Iowa. 2 miles north and south good rain. Thinking about setting up some sprinklers. On a good note, bumper crop of all the wild edibles! Plums acorns berries cherries.
