They use to do custom engraving to presonalize it but dont know if they still do anymore. I went with the RRA ATH. Best for the $$ I.M.O. They are usually cheaper at the gun shows then ordering straight from them.

For $90 you can find a camera that is a lot more dependable. Look at the newer Moultrie cams, or the Bushnell at Wally World.

Wwii I dont have a problem with shotgunners in general but the ones that shoot anything that moves, along with 2-3 year old bucks, then Bitch cause there are no big bucks in their area they hunt. Well Karma is a bitch! If you are a young hunter or truely see him as a trophy, then shoot him. But...

What percentage of total deer weight would you expect to get back from a locker? Say aprox 275-300lb deer on the hoof?

You should be ble to find the CVA Optima with scope for around $300 most places.

At the age of 5 I think you should go with the Nerf. That is pretty young and the last thing you want to do is have him tear up his shoulder being that young and dealing with the problems the rest of his life. Just my opinion. GL
