Off topic - Tough loss for Hawks but well played

Re: Off topic - Tough loss for Hawks but well play Iowa played a good game, and should have won for the record. When Chandler lined up 2 off the center, it was technically legal, and Iowa scored a TD. We should have beaten Texas... we got screwed again with faulty officiating...

    Global warming?

Yes, it is true. If not one scientist the world over disagrees on this crisis, why would we, as laymen, think otherwise? BTW, Global Warming is not a partisan issue up for debate. Just because Al Gore happens to be the one sounding the clarion call of hundreds of scientists, doesn't make...

Please do something for me ....

You have my deepest sympathies, I am terribly sorry to hear that you lost a loved one. I am however glad to hear that the last moments you had with him were well spent. I hear of people having arguments with family members and friends that tragically pass shortly thereafter, altogether too...

    Stoney Point Rapid Pivot Bipod

Anyone currently using the Stoney Point Rapid Pivot Bipod or have any experience with it? Can you still use a rifle sling with the attachment hardware? Looking to possibly buy one for my muzzleloader - any comments are appreciated

    Tagged buck Controversy

Unless they can prove foul play, this should be an open and shut case for the hunter. The courteous thing might be for the hunter to give the deer back, but I do not believe for a second that the law will require him to do so. I would hazard a guess that the people that pen raise deer might...

    Define Fair Chase....

One more thing to add to the definition of fair chase: the game must be truly wild. High fences aside, if the game you are pursuing is farm raised, it's not fair chase, no matter how free range it might be. IMHO

    More poacher problems

Timberpig, I’m not offended at all by your comments. You present a valid argument, and I agree 100% that making all shining activity illegal will stop some poaching. I will not be negatively affected by a law against shining, so it gets my vote. If anything it will have a positive impact on...

    Late Season Muzzleloader

[ QUOTE ] late muzzleloader has got to be my favorite time to hunt deer because they are so predictable, i love to find the hot food source in the area and hunt their staging areas and the field edges. [/ QUOTE ] BINGO! - let's see the prize you've won behind curtain number one!

    Just a thought.......

It's a great idea, but then I could see many people going above and beyond the call of duty and putting a serious hurtin' on the Iowa deer population, all in the name of saving a couple bucks (no pun intended) on their insurance policy I feel that resident hunters have been doing a TREMENDOUS...

    Cuddeback commerical

[ QUOTE ] If you read the "fine print" on the submittal it probably said that all entries become property of Cuddeback. But then again, I could be wrong. I'd check the submittal info before you call. [/ QUOTE ] BINGO

    More poacher problems

What if someone purchases high dollar night vision binos (for recreational night watching/locating of deer) and accomplishes the same thing? Should that be illegal too? Otherwise it would be another avenue for folks that have money or are not afraid to spend it As long as you own the land...

    Muzzleloader Question

Run one spit patch and one dry, both sides, and you're good to go! Ditto on the "never needing to shoot a dirty barrel". Unless you were in the Civil War and people were shooting at you, I don't think you would need to be that speedy in your reloading efforts. Better to have dry, reliable...

Off Topic: What computer setup would you buy?

If I were in the market for a 'puter, I would assemble my own. But if you're a plug and play kind of guy, Dell comes to mind. Make sure you get at least 1GB memory (i.e. SDRAM or RDRAM), as web pages, and most programs for that matter, tend to be pretty memory intensive these days. As for...

    Fixed or expandable??

Muzzys are one of the best broadheads on the market. If you want to try expandables I would also suggest Grim Reaper Broadheads , because they fly almost identically to field points and they do not require O-rings.
