Please do move here! Pay Iowa state income tax and contribute to our economy on a regular basis, then we will have no problem with you getting three anysex tags just like all other resident landowners! I wouldn't sell your cabin if I were you either! Owns cabin on a lake in MN and owns...

It was hard to follow because of how you wrote it, not because of the content. I'm well aware of national news, politics, etc. The court says Iowa lawmakers have developed an extensive statutory scheme that results in the conclusion "that landownership in Iowa is not accompanied by the...

And if you are not a resident, you have to follow the same laws that all NR have to follow, which includes having to apply for tags and be in the NR lottery. What is wrong with that? Oh, that's right, because you have the $ to buy land in another state you deserve preferential treatment.

Im not trying to be the grammar police at all. read you last post. It was hard to follow. Period! WTF are you talking about? feel guilty about what? for catching a fish? If you must know, it was in Iowa and was caught on private property where public access is allowed. How is that relevant to...

Pretty extreme example that will never happen and in no way did they take your right to hunt away from you.

Yes, i am willing to accept it. Is it perfect? No, but since we are all sharing the same resource it needs to be regulated somehow. If deer #s(or any animal you like to hunt)got low enough, they could close the season if they deem it necessary. I don't see them singling out one particular land...

??????? Not sure how you want it to be worded. And speaking of wording, your 2nd sentence was brutal to read. Just saying! Also, Im not sure what Obamacare, gun rights and where our President is allegedly born and raised has to do with NR hunting rights in Iowa. I dont see the slippery slope...

No crickets here. I see his point but if you tell a land owner "its your lands so i guess you get to do what ever the hell you want because it is your land" that creates a very slippery slope too! Not just in regards to wildlife but anything........I hate to sound like a liberal but the bottom...

I completely disagree. I see what you are saying but the bottom line is you only own the land, not the wildlife on it. You cant shoot a bald eagle just because it is on your land. You cant shoot another person just because they are on your land. Bottom line, if you are a NR landowner and don't...

    Biggest BS story you've heard

Sounds like it is time to get the Law involved on that one. That is a lot of trespassers.

    Biggest BS story you've heard

As a walleye fisherman, I frequently get the "you should have been here yesterday, I C&R 4 10lbers." or something along those lines. Ironically they have no pics, witnesses or proof of their epic day of fishing and couldn't catch a fish if their life depended on it while I am there. Now I know...

    Mandatory check stations...

Sounds like a waste of $ and time to me. I would rather have them invest their time and $ on catching poachers/lawbreakers. No matter how you do it, the same people will duck and dodge reporting their kills. I know guys that do it too. Im sure the DNR is well aware that not all deer shot are...

    Would you ever?

Although it may be legal it sounds very unsafe and a Busch league move, IMO. My brother in law has guys go to the extent of knocking on his door and telling him they wounded a deer that went into his timber. He usually says ok I will go with you but you leave your gun here. Conveniently the...

    Passing on deer

In order to let a 150" walk I would have to have direct knowledge of multiple bucks that are bigger in the area that I felt confident that I could kill if I put my time in. I would also have to have an impressive resume of multiple booners under my belt as well.

Where did you hit him? you may want to wait longer than noon. A mile is a long way to track and deer and not find him.

Wish i had a landowner tag to shoot another buck. I am on standby till gun season or if I get the itch to go shoot a doe.

Deer recovery - this will make your day!

Agreed. All too often a lot of us get caught up in the horns. The genuine excitement from that young man is priceless! That is what hunting is all about!

Not one to demolish a company's name..But when they deserve it.

Agreed. You sure gave them a lot of repeat business for having a crappy product! I like the other poster said, use the cheap cameras and they seem to get the job done. Are they the best? No but for the price they do what i need them to do and if someone steals one, it doesnt sting as bad.

You did nothing wrong and that text wasn't the reason you killed that bruiser! You have nothing to worry about IMO.
