When do you guys pull your cameras?

I pulled mine already this year, we dont get a lot of wintering on our property once they blast the food plot.. In the past I ran them year around/left them most of the spring just so deer got used to them on the trees...it amazes me how many times they will stop and look at a camera strapped on...

Gun Pushing Deer Hunters VS Stand, management & bowhunters....

I mainly bowhunt, but also stand hunt during slug season if we are after a certain deer (work doesn't generally allow me to late muzzy).. our group back in the day went from 40 guys to no more group because everyone was tired of little bucks, and when a big one came out everyone went stupid. It...

Off Topic- Gas vs Diesel Truck

The camper we will be pulling all over the US (not just Iowa) weighs around 5600 lbs dry without gear. Its 29 feet long.... My half ton (3.5 Ecoboost) I am not concerned with the pulling power of the truck, but as someone mentioned earlier, I get more worried about GVWR and GCWR with it. Half...

Off Topic- Gas vs Diesel Truck

Well, for years I have ran F-150s and loved them. I put plenty of miles on for various things, 20,000+ a year, but now we have a camper. While the truck is rated to pull it, I know I will be looking for something new in the next year or so. I am having the big debate right now of gas vs diesel...

    Early shed season

^^I assume they are making the push for that. And dont get me wrong, there are a lot more deer in that area, but I just cant seem to wrap my head around those numbers compared to my "home" area..Like I said, the family has 30 acres in Allamakee, this was by far the worst year for deer numbers...

    cedar seedlings- sources?

So dumb question, but what do you guys do for watering the trees after planting? Specifically the cedars...I live 2 1/2 hours from the farm so its not like I would want to be running back and forth a ton if I didnt have to.

    Early shed season

I see Allamakee leads the way with over 20 shed bucks and over 3000 deer killed. Clayton county has over 4000 I believe killed. Funny thing is the county I live in, and the county I own ground in, and even a buddies county has less than 1200 deer total between all 3. I hunt Allamakee as I have...

    cedar seedlings- sources?

So this might be a dumb question, but how do you keep deer from eating them all off? Or do you plant enough you hope some make it? Or do they just not like cedars?

    More CWD things..

Saw this today...Now the one chart, if correct, says that the main culprit is a carcass, brain, etc..That urine and feces are the lowest transmitter. Maybe the IADNR should just get dumpsters for people to dispose of deer?? I know thats not a real good answer, but sure makes a person think about...

Browning Gold 12 gauge slug guns

Any sort of package deal or is that pretty good? I will admit I haven’t priced a slug gun out in years but the wife is kicking around the idea of wanting to do more slug hunting so I mean, I can’t tell her no right [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
