Well, for years I have ran F-150s and loved them. I put plenty of miles on for various things, 20,000+ a year, but now we have a camper. While the truck is rated to pull it, I know I will be looking for something new in the next year or so. I am having the big debate right now of gas vs diesel...

^^I assume they are making the push for that. And dont get me wrong, there are a lot more deer in that area, but I just cant seem to wrap my head around those numbers compared to my "home" area..Like I said, the family has 30 acres in Allamakee, this was by far the worst year for deer numbers...

So dumb question, but what do you guys do for watering the trees after planting? Specifically the cedars...I live 2 1/2 hours from the farm so its not like I would want to be running back and forth a ton if I didnt have to.

I see Allamakee leads the way with over 20 shed bucks and over 3000 deer killed. Clayton county has over 4000 I believe killed. Funny thing is the county I live in, and the county I own ground in, and even a buddies county has less than 1200 deer total between all 3. I hunt Allamakee as I have...

So this might be a dumb question, but how do you keep deer from eating them all off? Or do you plant enough you hope some make it? Or do they just not like cedars?

Saw this today...Now the one chart, if correct, says that the main culprit is a carcass, brain, etc..That urine and feces are the lowest transmitter. Maybe the IADNR should just get dumpsters for people to dispose of deer?? I know thats not a real good answer, but sure makes a person think about...

Ah, I had a buddy hunting Chickasaw county and said his group found a big buck dead, I could have gotten some wheels moving if that would have been the case
