Yes sir.
I think if it and a ladino were planted side by side the ladino may win in preference but Durana is the bulldog of the clover world.
I have some that has spilled out in some pines and is growing very well in pine straw. No soil amendments and no fertilizer at all. I’ll try and take a...
I’m in the south and hot, dry weather is normal.
I have not found any clover that comes close to Durana in terms of drought resistance.
In a very hot,dry year it will go dormant. Dormant to the point that you think it’s dead. No clover showing or very little at best.
When the cool rains and...
Congrats to both of you.
I agree with not putting restrictions on what kids shoot. Very few of us got to that point in our hunting career without killing a bunch of deer.
If we want our kids to grow to love the sport, We have to let them enjoy it and mature at their own pace. Not jump right up...
Rye has allopathic properties that help suppress weeds in the spring.
It also greens up faster in the spring and grows more in the winter.
Wheat isn’t bad especially if you plant awnless wheat.
A lawnmower battery with the cable that plugs into the bottom of the camera.
I’m in Georgia and I put some cameras out August 18th that are still showing 100%.
The ones that are on regular AAs are on their 3rd set.
Don’t know why but aerial applications do not use the same amount of water.
We have a lot of crop dusters down here in Georgia and many chemicals are put out with 6 gallons of water.
Op,
Not sure why it wouldn’t work. They use them down here in the south. If they didn’t work, they wouldn’t...
Going to sound like BS but it’s true.
Planted my first one around 1980 when I was 12. I had noticed that there were a lot of rabbits in my dad’s garden and they like his peas. So I went to the hardware store, bought some peas, and went and planted them with a garden rake. Planted them out in the...
Imo, persimmons are the best fruit for a deer. They always make. Will grow on the worst dirt. Handle drought better than any other fruit that I know of. And will dribble the fruit all season long.
Our season in Georgia opens September 7th. I started 3 weeks ago. I sprayed everything with roundup and have mowed a couple of strips. I have tilled a few paths through the field and would have burned a few strips today if it wasn’t so windy.
Doves like a clean field. Do what you can to give...
And this setup puts out about 13 gallons an acre when I’m driving my Honda in 2nd gear. Can do a solid 2 acres with it. Very maneuverable. Prefer this to my 3 point sprayer on my tractor. I use a separate deep cycle battery.
I have an ant spraying business down here in Georgia.
I have a 30 gallon tank that you can get from anywhere. Bought a 10’ boom from my local Agri-Supply.
Now, the pump. They all suck imo. I went to Northern Tool and bought 2 of their pumps. I think they’re 3.1gpm. They will ask you if you...
Cleth works well as long as you add a surfactant with it but it doesn’t have a residual.
Imox has a residual and may keep it grass free a little longer.
I prefer to spray then mow in a week or two. Cleth is slow to work. 2-3 weeks usually. Many will say mow, wait a couple of weeks, then spray...
I’m from Georgia. Baiting became legal here about 8-9 years ago.
For the first 5 years or so, I just wouldn’t do it. But, there is a lot of truth about not having the deer that your neighbor has if you don’t.
I wish they would ban it down here tomorrow. It definitely makes it easier and how...
Can you just go out earlier in the morning when there’s a slight dew on the ground.
Would be easier to see the tracks.
Could add a little extra surfactant to it if you’re worried about it not sticking to the plant.
