We planted this year- about 3/4 of an acre- picking some for the local town festival and leaving the rest. Pry have 6-700 growing and I wish I was joking. We’ve had a lot of rain and timely rains- couldn’t have asked for a better year for rain in my area where last year I couldn’t buy a raindrop...

So serious question- who feels they saw more deer/were picked off less before you carried a cell phone everyday into the stand? Or who feels like you get picked off now and dont have a clue how/why?

There is something else?! What?! Oddly- I work for an internet company, northern Iowa, southern Iowa (Nora Springs, Truro, St Charles, Red Oak- huge areas) and I HATE being on the internet other than this site. But always looking for more hunting type sites to follow along on- so let’s hear em!

The funny thing- I’ve said before that I missed “good” prices by about 5 years. When I graduated High School some pieces came up for sale but was in no position to even think about it. Now I’d give anything for those prices again

I think it’s fairly safe to say though- those farms with large numbers are also producing large deer correct? I mean your “area” I feel has higher deer population than my “area” currently and you guys are producing studs and we get maybe 1 or 2 170+ deer county wide right now the numbers are...

We also are in a CWD area and it’s terrible how low the numbers are- and what grinds my gears is the people not from the area that show up to hunt the antlerless season and then donate to hush I might shoot a doe this year just because we need meat, but it’s not high on my priority list. I...

My point- which most know and will follow- is there are those few people who are going to start hunting the first day their tag says because “their tag dates are valid”. Remember, common sense isn’t so common anymore.

So I just was looking at my tag dates and see the landowners is good from like 9/21 on- obviously I assume that is for youth, but how many people do we think will abuse that?!

I’m looking to buy bulk seeds (not sure varieties yet) for trees but not sure where to look. Local forester gave me leads but one no longer did it and other doesn’t offer only once a year (not a big deal as I’m just searching). Anyone got anything?
