Called em and they had some in back that were several years old. He said if I fed the few head they had there, I could have a few. They were alright as they had been shedded the whole time.

Can’t speak for the deer decoys. Yet. But I have a Jake decoy and a Tom hit it and split the material right at the neck joint. They are expensive so I called. They said to cut the head the rest of the way off and send them a pic. I did. The next day a new one was in the mail. Excellent customer...
Buy land in Kansas instead. You are guaranteed a tag every year. Our state is ruined already. Come here and save Iowans the trouble. If Iowa is first in lack of public land, we must be second. I beg you come here… [emoji23]

I’m looking for small square alfalfa bales with no luck. Seems that is a dying business here. Been running 2 feeders with mixed feed since September. Plan to keep em full through March at least.

Same. The camera still has internal D batteries with the smaller solar panel. Those will last for months and months on their own so they will cover plenty of cloudy days with the smaller panel. I did have a deer chew through the connector cable from one of my solar panels. That camera has been...
I live where I hunt and initially went with the non-cell home and pulled the card. I quickly switched to the cellular as the convenience can't be beat. I got a non-camera home and put it in the top of a tree on the top of a hill. I can add more cameras and everything will be able to connect from...
I hope I’m not hijacking the thread, but does corn tend to have as many trait combinations as soybeans? Or is it pretty much all corn can survive the same herbicide treatments?

You say that is crazy, but I worked for Ted Turner on Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico. We had a whole Natural Resources Department with foresters and fisheries and wildlife biologists. Almost 600,000 acres (920 square miles). Managed for mature bull elk and an overall healthy herd. We hunted...
Let’s be honest. If I run cell cams, kill a nice deer and later check the pics and see I got a pic of him that day? All those cams getting pulled and tossed in the creek. [emoji23]

Get some black paint because every hen that sees it will peck her eyes. They are soooo real. I have left my Jake decoy to stalk a turkey and ended up stalking my Jake when I returned more than once. Fooled myself. [emoji23]

I did. P and K are both way above optimal. N was recommended at 120lbs/acre. He knows it is for a food plot and there is no expectation of 200 bu. corn.
Alright, before I look like an idiot I want to run these numbers by you guys. I am planting 3.25 acres of corn. Extension agent said for my purposes 120 lbs. N/acre should do. COOP sells 21-0-0-24S for $440/ton plus $28.50/ton to rent the spreader cart. So the math says 2000lbs x 21%= 420lbs...
When I find what I think is an EHD kill, they are usually early season and not polished like that one appears. Either way it is unfortunate, but glad you found him.
