    No one's perfect.

2001, Thanksgiving eve - Saw two bucks sparring in the distance, rattled at them and a third bucks head popped up and headed my way, 10 point in the 150-160 range. First buck I ever drew on, Not sure what happened, had a complete pass through with a muzzy, meat hunter and I tracked him a...

Another good choice would be a TC Impact. Great quality gun and you can be hunting also for about $250.00

    Turtles

Is this true even on a private pond? I know some old timers who used to catch dozens every year and then have a huge turtle feed in the fall. They used some sort of turtle trap. Bet you can google it and find a dozen variations.

    Chasing Tail

I agree with most on here, what a bunch of A**Clowns. I got 3/4 through the first show, then deleted it and my settings to record the series.

    Hoyt Spyder 30 Review

Love my Spyder 30. They need to replace the bolts that hold the alphashox on IMO though. Bolts are to short. My lower one fell off after a week of shooting. Just happened to happen at the 3-D shoot at the classic. I stopped by the Hoyt Factory booth and let the guys there know about it...

    Stock salt vs ???

Same here, I cut the 50 lb blocks in half and make 2 sites that will last all summer. I think a block is only like $10.00.

    new bow

I agree with you there. a buddy of mine has the Element and was trying to talk me into it. The spyder was just as fast at the pro shop and just as quiet. Only thing he could tell me was different for sure was it is warm to the touch in cold weather. That is not worth the extra $400

    new bow

Just bought a new Spyder 30 myself. Best bow I have shot hands down. I had 2 alphamax bows that I thought I would never get rid of. Sold them both to get the spyder. Shot the new Mathews, for get the name, a Helium, a couple PSE's and a bowtech. The spyder felt the most balanced out of them all...

    Lighted nock recommendations???

I used tracers a couple years. Battery life sucked and they are not very durable. I tried the Nockturnals, and though i am not a fan of the way to turn them off, they have great battery life and are very durable. I am buying some more of them this year.

    What's your harvest criteria

I hunt to please myself, and my expectations and not anyone else's. More satisfying. I set a goal for myself to shoot something bigger score wise than the last one I killed. With that said, if the moment catches me I will take a buck for the memory, such as rattling one in.

3D Pop up shoot at the classic

Yep, i usually try and get there early on Saturday to minimize the wait time. I shoot it for fun not so much for the competition. Althoughit did feel pretty good to hold first place for a few hours 2 years ago....
