Here is a picture of a bird my dad shot a couple of years back. We have been using this set up for years now with great success! I will use 1 upright hen and 1 strutting tom or jake. Some times I will use a couple of feeding hens if it's early in the season and there still flocked up a little.
Has anyone been out scouting yet? If so what are you seeing. I went down south last weekend and saw some large groups. The toms were starting to strut. Not much gobbling but it was windy that morning. I would think they would start breaking up soon.
