I have one and they use it big time. The only problem is keeping water in it. I have a well close and filled it 2 weeks ago. Took everything out because of winter coming. Now it's 1" deep. Had a 10 point use it while pushing a doe. I went and carried 5 5 gallon buckets of water to get me by, lol.
I had a serious accident where I tore my right bicep muscle and my rotator cuff on the same side. I'm going to have to use a crossbow this year.
My question is what type of broadhead to use. I have 100 grain schwackers that I was using before. I am wondering what would be a good choice. Fixed...
How would you get the urea into the ground in this situation? If you are no tilling into the beans. Are you basically waiting to do it prior to a rain forecast?
I agree with 6x6. I tried this 5-6 years ago in n e Iowa. Knocked on 50 doors zero people let me bow hunt. This was after I hunted the same farm for 25 years, which was sold. Fun times.
When it's warm out you really can't leave them over night. Always make sure if you go hunting that you have the time for a search and find. If not don't go. It's really out of respect for the animal.
I'm going to try and replant now that the plot is waterless. Thinking beings it's late in the game going with winter wheat and rye. To late for oats probably. What would you try this late?
