    Kohlrabi ??

I've been trying for 5 years, but have had little luck enticing deer with brassicas/turnips (been leaving plenty for me anyway...). I was wondering if planting some kohlrabi with the brassicas might start to educate them about the bulbs since they grow above ground. Any thoughts?

    Oat Preference So Far

Planted two oat varieties side-by-side this fall in northern WI - Whitetail Institute's Whitetail Forage Oats Plus and Wildgame Innovations Oatrageous. So far, the hands down winner is Forage Oats Plus. Its being chewed right down and the Oatrageous is hardly even touched. Have had several...

    Next Year's Plots.............

Never too early to start thinking ahead to next year. What are some of your favorite plot types? I have some space and would like some ideas for early season attractants. Anything offbeat that you'd like to share too? Thanks.

My first post! I grew up near Ossian, IA (Winneshiek County) and am an Iowa State grad. Live in the Twin Cities, MN now but have family all over NE Iowa still. This web site is a treasure trove! EW - looks like impressive stuff. Will have to give that a try next year. My property is in...
