Just got 2 complete bear creek rifles yesterday. Put 40 rounds through them fine tuning the scopes with no issues. I’d heard of cycling issues but these worked fine. I think they may have worked out most of the issues which I’m told were magazines and springs. Full disclosure: these were 450’s...
Doubtful the next round would have loaded. With the “powder throughout” comment, I’m guessing the bullet moved just enough to dislodge from the case. Especially if it was a tight chamber.
As long as the food is plentiful, it will hold quite a few.
Are you eating McDonald’s or going across the street to the steakhouse for the same price.
No question that a place “built” to attract deer is going to pull some from the fringes. Depending on pressure, they’d have little reason to...
I know of 2 deer that were taken that would probably still be walking if not for cell cams. Both 170+. Both harvested within a few hrs of walking past a cam. The guys weren’t even planning on hunting those days. They got pics before sun up and slipped in to their stands. “I got the pic at 4:30...
Guthrie Center, northern iowa? As for your question, anything is possible. Haven’t heard of anything yet. Watch TBI’s page, I’m sure they’ll have something there if it’s true.
Pay the inputs and only charge him for 15 acres. Win, win for both.
These guys saying pay $3k and it’s fair didn’t catch that your only getting $3325 total. I wouldn’t think that letting someone farm my 15a for $325 was fair to me. Maybe sharecrop the whole thing as an option.
Can’t say I’ve heard of any bullet that will exit at point of entry. Or that it’s ever happened.
The .556/.223 fmj at ranges used in these recent shootings will more often than not exit in a straight line due to velocity.
If fmj was so devastating, we’d be using it in hunting situations. The...
Here is a quote fm a hearing in the House today:
Assault weapons are made to kill... when they're hit with an assault weapon they cannot be identified. They are obliterated," Cohen said of children shot with assault weapons. "They are weapons of war and weapons of death and weapons of...
Needing some advice here. My Apple tree split in the winds this past weekend. Half is laying on the ground. Do I need to coat the exposed trunk after cutting the fallen part away or will it be ok? If it needs coated, what should I use? Thx
You can hunt it every year, the state has never said you couldn’t. If you want to hunt antlered deer you just have to play by the rules. If you didn’t draw for archery, hunt shotgun. Either way, you’re hunting your ground.
The bottom line is that you knew the rules when you bought. They aren’t...
Does the 6% timber # include public ground, just private, or both? Maybe point out that we have less public than ( I think ) 46 other states. Seems like I read that Hawaii has as much as we do but could be wrong. Regardless, the proposed limit on purchasing power of the DNR or CCB’s isn’t wanted.
I understand the rules, just a small bit of sarcasm there.
What are your thoughts? NR pays 3k to hunt residents farm, and stay at the lodge. RLO guides the hunt but shoots nothing, Indirectly that is selling the tag. It happens and we all know it is happening. NR knows that by paying the 3k on...
Check eBay, Best Buy, Walmart, etc, somebody sells a pkg that has multiple mounts for different options. I don’t remember where I found mine a few years back but they are out there.
I mentioned the IHAP idea earlier, there’s no reason to shut off the deer hunting tho. Herd management is one of the main reasons for getting the ground opened up.
We hunt a good chunk of IHAP ground and the deer circle right back into it. You’re not going to run the deer off by hunting it.
